Created by Executive Chef Cristian and the Bentleys kitchen team, the award-winning Bentleys Deluxe Burger impressed the judges against some of the state's strongest pub contenders.

Hosted annually by the Australian Hotels Association (SA), the SA Pub Burger Challenge celebrates the very best pub burgers from across the state.

The competition begins with pubs from throughout South Australia submitting their signature burgers before an expert judging panel selects the Top 12 finalists. Those finalists then compete in a live cook-off, where each burger is judged on taste, presentation, originality, quality of ingredients and overall appeal.

Bentleys Hotel earned its place among the Top 12 before being crowned the 2026 SA Pub Burger Challenge winner, recognising the team's commitment to quality ingredients, thoughtful flavour combinations and attention to detail.

Following the win, Bentleys was inundated with burger orders and temporarily sold out while the team worked to secure more of the quality local produce used in the dish.

The champion burger is now firmly on the menu and ready to enjoy at Bentleys Hotel in the heart of Clare.
